How to pass from a date to Morning, afternoon and night?

Hi,

I have a column that contains info in this format: *14.03.2001 13:30:55

I would like to have another column that tells me whether that is Morning, Afternoon or Night.

How should I do?

You can use the following DAX as a calculated coulumn:

DayPart = 
VAR _TIME = TIMEVALUE(Table1[Date Time]) RETURN
SWITCH( 
    TRUE(),
    _TIME >= TIMEVALUE( "00:00" ) && _TIME < TIMEVALUE( "12:00" ), "Morning",
    _TIME >= TIMEVALUE( "12:00" ) && _TIME< TIMEVALUE( "18:00" ), "Afternoon",
    "Night"
)
