How to open a Text box link in the same tab rather than a new tab

Hi All,

I have a dashboard that has many tiles and when I click on a tile it takes me to the report that the tile is linked to. Now from report to go back to the Dashboard there is no option, therefore I created a tesxt box in the report and linked it to the dashboard hyperlink (http://......). Issue I am facing is that everytime I click on the link it opens in another tab in the browser and I have many tabs in the report and everytime I click on dashboard link it will open in a new tab in the browser. My question is now - is there any way I can have the link open in the same browser tab rather than opening in the new browser tab?

Hi @Anonymous ,

You can turn on the 'custom link' and 'open custom link in same tab' options to open specific link on current tab.

I actually wanted the other way around. Links to open in ths same Browser tabe > from Report to the Dashboard (NOT Dashboard Tile to Report as you showed)

Plesae see the picture above. I have created a Text Box (DASHBOARD) and inserted the link of the Dashboard with Tiles. Now when I click on the Dashboard then it Opens up the Dashboard with Tiles in a different browser tab instead of the same browser tab. I want the link to open in the same Browser tab as the report.

Any Idea?

Nope, power bi not support to configure these. For your requirement, you can consider to change web browser setting to force open new link on same tab.
