How to make Dashboard/Report/App available to Public?

Hello gurus,

I have come across this link where the Power BI Dashboard is available to the public (no need to log in with Organization account), what settings do we need to change to the Dashboard/App/Report to available for all?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards

Hi there,

Publish to Web can be used to share to anyone. It ONLY works with REPORTS.

You can find more details here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-publish-to-web

Hi @vabiuser1,

I'd like to suggest you use power bi embed feature which requires a premium license. You can embed your contents(report, dashboard) to premium capacity then users can view these shared contents without licenses.

What is Power BI Embedded?

What is Power BI Premium?

Re: How to make Dashboard/Report/App available to Public?

Hi there,

I have found a way to do it but once I "Publish to Web", I am getting "This content isn't available" message. How to fix that?

PS: I am using Power BI Pro trail account.

Best Regards

Hi there

It would appear either there are limitations or if you have not enabled the new settings in the Admin center

Here are the limitations: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-publish-to-web#limitations

And here are the updates from the Power BI Blog: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/the-publish-to-web-default-is-changing-and-it-affects-who-c...
