How to hide/disable REMOVE button from Power BI Pro user login?

The user logged in to Power BI service (pro cloud account) is able to remove the dataset published and shared to user login using PBIX file by Admin. Using this REMOVE option, user is deleting the "dataset copy" that was used to create reports/dashboards. When he deleted the dataset, the dashboard/reports created on that dataset also got deleted. I had made the reports/dashboard using the user login.. so that user gets "EDIT REPORT" option and he can make his changes and save it under "My Workspace". Kindly suggest how to disable/hide the REMOVE button for the DATASETS. Thanks !

Hi @benzyali,

If I understand your sceario correctly that you make a copy of the reports and dashboards in the content pack but the owner of the content pack delete the related datasets of the reports and the dashboads, so your copied reports and datasetets gone either?

As I know, we should not hide/disable REMOVE button in Power BI currently.

Hi @v-piga-msft

yes, you are right.

The bi.fin login is there which i used to create copy of the content pack and then from that dataset i created the reports and dashboards. Then user who is using the bi.fin login deleted the dataset on which my reports were made.. so the dashboard also got deleted.

"Should not" or we CAN NOT hide/disable REMOVE button from user login ?

Pls confirm.

Thanks.

Regards, Benz

Hi @benzyali,

Sorry for my expression.

We cannot disable or hide the REMOVE button.
