Hello folks,
my report has an API source and two excel sheets as sources. The two excel sheets are stored on my laptop. The data from the excel sheets are static and never change. API ist available 24h via internet. Now I have published the report on Power BI Services and configured an auto update once per day. But the auto update fail, if my laptop is off and works fine, if my laptop is on. The data which come from the excel sheets does not have to be updated because it is static. How can I disable the two excel sheets from beeing updated ?
I found a solution in Power BI Desktop. There I can configure each source separately. But in Power BI Services I didn't find it. Any idea how I can exclude sources from beeing updated in Power BI Services ?
Thanks for help
Michael

Thank You for Your answer Eason. Meanwhile I found that it is not possible to exclude local data source from being refreshed via schedule in Power BI Services, if You have multiple data sources. But I put my local excel sheets now on a cloud server and transformed it into json format. This works fine.

Hi, @powermicha
If you are referring to the scheduled-refresh , please disable it directly.
Your API source doesn't require a gateway to be configurable for refresh.
