I want to schedule an auto refresh for my report in the PBI Service, which contains web api calls to our corporate JIRA instance, and a pure Power Query M/DAX calendar table. I get the following error:
You can't schedule refresh for this dataset because one or more sources currently don't support refresh.
However, I was able to add the web data source to my gateway, and it confirmed a live connection. What shall I do in this case?
Solved! Go to Solution.
It turned out that it is some known weakness of PBI, that it does not recognize the data source when it is used via a function parameter. See more at

Troubleshooting the on-premises data gateway

Hello
As described in the link, I have reinstalled the gateway, so it is up to date now. I have have a postgresql database connection configured in the PBI Service and it is marked Connected. However, when I want to schedule a refresh for a data set, which uses the same data source, it says that
You don't have any gateway installed or configured for the data sources in this dataset. Please install a new personal gateway or configure the data source for an existing data gateway.
Please note that I have installed the On-premises data gateway as enterprise, not the personal mode.
I also have another data table in that set, which is generated by PowerBI with Power Query M and I did not configure any data source for that in the gateway.
