I'm trying to pass a URL filter to a published report but am unable to get it to work.
The report:
I've tried using the method here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/35555694/passing-parameters-to-power-bi-filter-programmatically by adding &filter=Table1/ZipKey eq '00001' to the end of the URL but that doesn't work.
It works for this link:
Any ideas? Is this not possible? If not, the end goal is to be able to embed this within another page, is there a different method I could use?

Hi @StephenWagner,
Based on my research, we are not able to pass filter parameter in the URL which created by "Publish to web" feature. In your scenario, to embed the report in other web pages and filter it, I would suggest you take a look at this article: Embed a Power BI report with an IFrame.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

If you want to share the reports in your organisation you can use pro licences and make a Powr BI Group. The URL ist for every user in this group the same and you can use filters.

So what you are saying if you dont have powerbi premium this feature does not work with publish to web urls. You either have to embedd the app on a webpage which is a powerbi premium service or copy the URL from your browser when you are logged into the web service and actually log into the app and it works.
Working Example:
Cons: You have to login with powerbi user.
Not Working Example:
You don't need premium! But Pro Licences are nessecary.
I have Pro but the only way this works is sharing the URL from the report from my login session the published URL which we use most commonly doesnt work with the filter.
You actually have to login to powerbi for this to work and we share many reports through a published URL.
Yes, every user needs PRO when you want to use the collaboration features. Otherwise the Workspace must have Premium capacites.
@StephenWagner Have you defined them as report filters ? I have seen page level filters have not worked for me by passing via URL.
Thanks for the suggestion. I've confirmed that ZipKey is a Report filter.
