How to Drill Down in Dashboard like Microsoft Suggests?

I have been following this idea/suggestion for "Drill Down in Dashboard" Power BI for a while. The though it is it would be really really helpful to "Drill down on axis in dashboard without having to enter into the report itself".

https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/7161369-drill-down-in-dashboard

However this idea was declinded saying "You can pin live report pages to dashboard if you want this functionality, or use a report instead". However as most commenters on the original idea said was we don't see how to get the functionality on a published pinned live dashboard" and don't want our users to have to click and convert to a report from dashboard mode before drill down.

So the question is how does one drill down on a live report page to a dashboard? It was rejected saying you could do what some of us can't figure out.

Could someone advise?  If you have a good solution/explanation please comment here and in the idea itself.

Hi @asjones,

Current drill feature only works on report level, which they mentioned is use 'pin live page' feature to stored current drill level. It not means 'pin live page' feature can let drill features works on dashboard.
