Help with dataflow unable to refresh from gateway - trust relationship for SSL/TLS

Hi

I need some help as i have not been able to refresh dataflows connected to a gateway

Im getting the below error:

The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel

Ive tried following the instructions on the support page to install new certificates (Best i can as its not very clear what needs to be installed)

https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/

Also followed the steps in the following thread but nothing seems to work!

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Power-Query/SSL-Certificate-Issue-can-I-ignore-it/td-p/91646

Hoping that someone can assist

Thanks in advance

Richard

I had to uninstall and reinstall the October release - old releases can be found here: - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/data-integration/gateway/service-gateway-monthly-updates

Alternatively, the theory is that the application is performing certificate revocation checks now - so if the device that hosts the gateway is allowed to go outbound on port 80 it should be able to perform those checks.

Microsoft is due to release an updated November release that doesn't have the forced certificate revocation checking emailed - but it will eventually become mandatory.

Thanks @Anonymous though not exactly the response i was hoping for if you had to reinstall the October release still... Ill get my IT to check the port you mentioned. Thanks Richard

Hi @simr

Is this following an update of the On-Premise Data Gateway to the November 2020 release by chance?
