Hi All,
Need urgent attention,
All of a sudden my dataset refreshes are failing because of privacy level settings on sources. This has been working fine till some time ago today.
Another one observed is, dataset refresh failed and is asking for one column type to be changed from 'Binary' to 'Binary' 😞
How can we come to know about any such updates/sudden changes being pushed to PowerBI service or anything that can result into potential issues?
Same here, but only since monday (2021-07-26). I tried everthing in this blog post, but it didn't change anything.
@Anonymous did you figure out a solution to this? I'm having the same issue.
Hi @Anonymous ,
I think this is because your dataset credentials are expired or lost. If you use a personal gateway, has it been updated to the latest version? Many issues can surface when the gateway version is out of date.
If you want to know the updated information of Power BI, you can follow these blogs.

No it was not the gateway.
My connections were Azure SQL DB and Power BI Dataflows - One was Org privacy level and other was set to None. It was working till then and all of a sudden it failed for dataset.
On error note, table names were mentioned which were not at all involved in any merge operations - thus not having any privacy level concern
