Grasefully handle Gateway offline situation

Is it possible to grasefully hanlde Gateway offline situation?

My update process can "survive" without connection to the Gateway (it provides some sugar data, but without that data refresh is valuable anyway).

But it seems that it is not possible just to try request to on-premises data. I.e. even if I do it through using "try", PBI service stops refresh completely.

Then what is your excepted result then? You can come up a new idea about that and add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.
