Good morning,
I need to have detailed data on the using of the dataset in our organization.
But I am noticing that we must have office365 admin permission while I am only PBI Admin.
Are there particular security settings which allow me to extract this information without being the 365 Admin?
Thanks
Fabio
Hi @thebigwhite ,
If you are Power BI administrator, then you will be available to access Admin portal in Power BI. In Admin portal, Admin will be able to see usage metrics for all Power BI content across the organization.
Usage metrics present in Admin portal can give overall monitoring view of which users views most of the content and which reports and dashboards have been used most. This Usage metrics will also give information related to total no. of dashboards and reports we have in our organization. Apart from this you will also able to see more information related to workspaces and other info.

Thanks for the replies. In detail I would like to have data about the use of the "datasets" and not the related report.
Is it possibile to have data for example of a "using of a datasets" through excel or power bi desktop from a particular user as Power Bi Admin?
Thanks

You have to be either a Global admin, Exchange admin, Skype for Business admin, SharePoint admin, Global reader or Report reader in order to establish the connection to the template app. See About admin roles for more information.
