Getting this error: app.powerbi.com refused to connect when trying to set links to open in content

When I create my app and set the link to open in the content area I get this error message when accessing the app and the report does not show.  I'm seeing some other users getting this issue but have not seen a solution.  Can anyone assist?

@GilbertQ - I figured this out.  I had to pin it to the dashboard then add it to the app.  Works well now.

I also have this error, I simply want to add a link t a report page (from the same report which is included in the App).

It's a total non sense !

Hi @joshieboy

What if you had to just use the URL from the report when you view the report?

Hi @joshieboy

Can you paste a screenshot of the error you are getting?

I do know that some external websites do not allow you to embed their sites, which could be causing the error you are viewing from your link?

Check with what you are linking to supports embedding and or iFrames

Hi @GilbertQ - please see attached.  I'm actually trying to connect to tabs within the same dashboard so I found it strange.PowerBIError.jpg

Hello @GilbertQ - I originally used the direct url from the dashboard as the link in the app, and that did not work.  Then I tried the embed link and it looks as if it is trying to load the page,(at least the error is gone), but the page is taking forever to load in the content area.

Hi @joshieboy

Can you please explain how or where to find the embed link? I can't solve it:

Thanks.

Hello @GilbertQ  any further guidance on this?  Still not working.  Thanks.

I would contact your network admin to have a look at the error.

I don't think there could be a less intuitive user interface. Microsoft is in serious need of UX designer.

@joshieboy I have the same issue. Can you explain how I pin it to the dashboard?

Thanks,

I would like to know as well, how did you pin it? How it's done?
