Hi Experts,
I want to create a report for the Row Level Security Roles and the members/users assigned to those Roles.
Can we access the RLS Roles and Users data for a dataset?
Any guidance on the same will be very helpful.
Regards,
Rohan
Hi, @RohanB
According to your description, you want to get the detailed data of the RLS roles of a dataset, I think that creates the Dynamic Row-Level Security can help you achieve this. In this method, you can create tables which contain users and their UPN(Email name) related to the Role table, you can take a look and find out if it’s useful:

Hi Robert,
Thanks for the guidance.
My scenario is if there is an existing static RLS setup for a dataset , can I get access to data for the RLS Roles and the User tagged to those role which we can see see from the Security option.
In tableau they maintain the metadata information in a postgre DB. Is there any such option in power bi to get the metadata information for the RLS roles and users tagged to those roles?
Regards,
Rohan
Hi, @RohanB
Unfortunately, I guess that the only way to access the RLS Roles and linked usernames of a Power BI dataset is going to the “Security” of the dataset.
Here are some links about RLS and username, you can take a look:
