Gateway keeps active connection on my data source?

Hello

My DBA told me that they see 2 active connections on the database with the user ID I use.

And we dont have any other sessions open from Power BI Desktop as well.

So does this mean that my gateway might keep pinging my data source to check if database is up? and the connection which my DBA sees is the one which gateway is using?

Regards

Hi there

If you are using the source as a DirectQuery it will refresh the dashboard cache every 15 minutes which is the default setting.

Hello

No, my question is actually with respect to gateway usage with import mode.

I am not using DirectQuery.

Regards

I have not seen that happen before.

Is it causing any performance issues on the source?
