Hi,
I am facing an error with the dataset refresh on PBI Service. We are able to refresh the data in pbi desktop but once published, it is failing with the error "FailedToParseUsername: Error parsing username '<pi>••••••••••••</pi>'.; ErrorShortName: FailedToParseUsername".
I have tried with multiple usernames and process IDs but the result is same.
The dataset has two connections(SSAS tabular and Impala).
Can anyone please help me resolve this.
Thanks in advance.
I had the port wrong. Resolved it by correcting. Thank you all for your responses.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Are the gateways and credentials of the two data sources configured correctly?
Best regards,
Lionel Chen

Are there any reserved characters in the Username?
No, the username is "ps108633". No reserved characters.
Hi there
have you made sure that when setting up the data source that the credentials used has got Admin access to the SSAS Tabular Database?

Hello @GilbertQ
Thank you for your response.
I am sure the SSAS connection is working. Because I am using the same SSAS gateway in different datasets and they all are running fine. I believe the problem is with Impala connection. The gateway error is only showing "FailedToParseUsername: Error parsing username '<pi>••••••••••••</pi>'.;.
I tried with the same user that is able to refresh the data through PBI desktop but it still doesn't work.
