Hi Everyone,
we currently have Express Route configured and is working well with our Azure tenancy , we are about to begin using Power Bi and we are having a external support setup various parts.
They have requested we set up a Power Bi Gateway for our on-premise data to be able to communicate with Power Bi.
My question is , do we require a Gateway if we have express route ?
If we still need a gateway, can the gateway be configured in Azure where we are hosting a few VMs,
or does it need to reside on-premises where the vm is located that is to communicate with Power Bi?

Hi @Monty101
With Power BI and ExpressRoute, you can bypass the Internet to better secure your sensitive Power BI data and connections. But before users can connect to your on-premises data source, an on-premises data gateway still needs to be installed and configured.
