Gateway access to shared folder

Hello community!

I have a problem with accessing a shared folder from the gateway to schedule the automatic update.
From the server where I have installed the gateway and Power BI Desktop (192.168.1.252SERVER2), I have access to the folder Contratos located at:
\\192.168.1.250\Documents -> (SERVER1).

I have access to this folder from the Power BI Desktop without problems with the administrator user.

When I publish the file on the Power BI server and try to add the connection to the gateway as follows:
Datasource: Folder
Path: \\192.168.1.250\Documents\Contratos
User: administrator
Password: xxxxxx

I get this error:
Status code: 400
Error code: DMTS_PublishDatasourceToClusterErrorCode
Gateway: Unable to connect to the undefined data source.
Error message: I/O error "1326" has occurred.

How can I access this folder from the gateway?
Thank you very much

Hi @Raul ,

Make sure these files or folder are shared and your gateway has access. The credential you add to the data source should be the credential of the machine which your gateway is installed.

Try providing your domain alongwith username in below format:

Domain\username

Try if this works as error suggest that credentials are being rejected.

I have tried it and it still doesn't work. Thank you for your help @nitishsh91

Hi,

In power bi service if you go to "manage gateways" firstly can you see the folder and does it give the same

error if you click "test all connections"?

Appreciate your Kudos!!

Yes, the same error.

That error suggests your username and password are being rejected. Are you running in a domain setup?

If so try the domain name\username eg DOMAIN\Administrator.

If not give the computer name\Administrator
