Hi!
I have a CSV file saved in my computer and this is the data source that I used for my Power BI report.
I published this report in Service and now, I want this to be automatically updated or refreshed once I also update the CSV file (overwrite the file) from a folder in my computer.
Is this doable by using a Gateway? If yes, what appropriate gateway should be set-up and why is it the right gateway for my situation?
Thank you in advance!

Yes the On-Premise Data Gateway is the correct way to go. You want to set it up on a server that is always on. I'd suggest that this gateway is closest to your big data sources that you might use in the future.
You need the gateway to provide a secure bridge between your network and the cloud network.

Hi @Anonymous!
Thanks for the response!
I just want to clarify. So even if the source data file is located in my personal laptop as long as I have a gateway in a server, my data will still be updated/ refreshed?
As long as the laptop is accessable from the gateway at the point in time that the refresh is required. I.e. if you did a remote desktop onto that server and you tried to connect to that data source manually on that server, would it work?
Okay, understood! Thank you @Anonymous!
