GATEWAY REFRESH

HI, I need just to know, how PWBI Gateway Enterprise refresh dataset when I schedule at the same time. 

PWBI Gateway run each in parallel or serial. Like a queue until finish one, start with the next.... or run all at the same time?

Hi @SQUILES ,

Parallel refresh is only supported in premium capacity,and its number depends on the type of SKU,while in shared capacity, the refreshes are executed in a queue.if the previous refresh isnt finished,then the latter refreshes are stopped,waiting until it is finished.

Hi @SQUILES,
The Gateway performs refreshes in parallel, up to a certain amount of refreshes. This number depends on the type of capacity (shared or Premium). For Premium you can find the refresh parallelism here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-premium-what-is#capacity-nodes.
I’m actually not certain if there’s a particular limit in shared capacity or that the service just handles/throttles that internally.
