Fixing a data (dataset?) as an archive

Hi all,

I have a quarterly powerbi report with import mode.

I will publish the latest report while saving the old reports as archive.

I can copy the current pbix file and rename it to the last quarter and publish it as the last archive.

But is it possible to fix the data on the last report even when users click "refresh"?

Maybe editing to wrong credentials...?

Regards,

Shinya

Adding some comment..

Probably clicking "refresh" on the web browser doesn't extract data from database but from dataset.

I would like to fix the dataset to avoid cases that any administrators might accidentally reload the dataset.

Thanks,

Shinya

Hi @shtak ,

As far as I know, there is no such feature in Power BI. You could create an idea for it in https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas to improve the power bi.

And if you want to see what the report looks like before the data refresh, I recommend subscribe it via e-mail,https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-report-subscribe
