Failure when updating data from sharepoint

Hi!!

I'm trying to connect a data source from sharepoint online, and even though I have installed the right version of Access Database Engine (it works with a local file), I kept getting this message.

How can I work it around?

Hi @mcemim ,

As described in this official documentationPower BI supports importing or connecting to workbooks created in Excel 2007 and later. Workbooks must be saved as .xlsx or .xlsm file type and be under 1 GB. So please make sure the related file extension is xlsx or xlsm first. Besides that, please check if proper Access Database Engine has installed in your machine. Please check if the solutions in the following links can help you.

Dataset Refresh error Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 provider is not registered on the local machine

Can't import Excel (xls) into Power BI

You can submit a question about the issue to Power BI Support if the above solutions still can't resolve the problem.

Best Regards

Rena
