Hi Community,
I am developing Reports for a customer who wants to monitor several systems in the area of building technology with BI.
The current solution in BI consists of an overview page where the user can search and filter for facilities, and by drilldown he can navigate to a detail page of a selected facility.
So far so good. But now we got the requirement from the customer to provide a link to a specific facility detail page in BI. The use case behind is that facilities are managed by an industry-specific software solution, and from there the operator should be able to jump directly to the facility data in BI e.g. by a specific URL - without performing another search in BI.
As I know, Drilldowns are supported from one report to another. Is there a way to do a "Drilldown" by 3rd party Software e.g. by adding some additional URL parameters to the Reports link?
Thank you in advance,
Christian

Hi, there are filter by url parameters. You can check this:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-url-filters
That links will redirect from any place to Power Bi Service.
Hope that helps,

Hey ibarrau,
thank you very much, that works great!
Except one scenario: If I use an embedded URL (instead of the BI Service URL), the filter is applied but I did not manage to select the details page directly (the drillthrough page). I always get the main page. Do you know a way to do that e.g. by an additional parameter?
Thank you again,
Christian
The only disadvantage I found tha
I tested it for the BI and the embedded
Solved by intensive search:
simply add parameter "&pageName="
Thank you!
