Exporting to Excel / CSV from App

Hi all,

I have created an app which uses 2 Power BI reports.

The user wants to be able to export from a standard table view.

In the PBI Desktop file this is possible as you can see:

App 1.PNGApp 2.PNG

But in the app, no such option exists:

App 2.PNG

Is there some setting I need to enable maybe? Or is this a known issue? It's a key requirement that the users can export.

Many thanks,

Carley

Hi! there are several places to avoid exporting. In this case it looks like the header is hidden. Please check Report Settings and check if the headers and export options are enabled. This posts shows the options:

If this is enabled it can be hidden in the format options when editing the visualization with Power Bi Desktop.

Hope this helps,

Hi @carleyh ,

Would you please check the option in desktop before publish the report to the service:

Capture3.PNG

Some settings in admin portal:

Capture4.PNGCapture5.PNG

And for more details , you can refer to limitation in : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/power-bi-visualization-export-data#limitations-and...
