Export to .xlsx not available

Hi everyone,

I used to export some data from a Power BI report into Excel using the option Export data --> .xlsx (Excel 150,000), but from this week, I can't see that option and I can only choose export to .csv

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Thank you.

Also, make sure that your Tenant admin didn't turn that setting off in Power BI Service (tenant settings -> Export to Excel

Hi, @mgsh

The maximum number of rows that Power BI Desktop and Power BI service can export from an import mode report to a .csv file is 30,000. While the maximum number of rows that the applications can export from an import mode report to an .xlsx file is 150,000. Power BI admins can disable the export of data, please check with the admins.

There are also some other considerations and limitations for the feature. For further infomation, please refer the following official document.

Hi @mgsh

The ability to export to xlsx can also be managexport.pnged through the Report Settings.  If you have permissions tothe report, select Settings and make sure Export is not set to "none".

Hmm, I still see it (see below). You could check the Issues forum here:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues

And if it is not there, then you could post it.

If you have Pro account you could try to open a support ticket. If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".
