Hello,
My understanding is that data exported using power automate must go to a sharepoint directory / onedrive specified within the power automate visualisation. So I think it's not possible for an end user to choose where the data should be saved to (i.e. their onedrive / chosen sharepoint site / their computer directory?)
Please could someone confirm I'm correct or shoot me down?!
Many thanks,
CW
I'm exactly facing this situation. I would want users to download the exported data onto their computer's desktop. Currently, it is working oerfectly fine at my end and saving in my desktop but not when I publish it in the workspace for other users.
Hi,
I have not tried this myself, but could the export be sendt to the end user by mail?
It should be possible to send the export with mail to the end user because the person triggering power automate flow is recognised in the flow by mail and username

@PowerWhy - Yes, we need to specify the folder path in the flow. User will not be able to see a folder selection option.

Thank you @gauthamboppana is there a generic file path that can be used to get a file onto an end users physcial computer? I was hoping to use a user's desktop for example but if I follow the mapping through the C drive it takes me to C:\Users\USERNAME\Desktop (so not generic). Or if I click on the desktop icon in windows explorer it says the file path is "Desktop", could that work?
Or because the power automate flow is acting on Microsoft's server is it impossible to save to an end user's computer?
Thank you,
CW
