Error upload pbix file to PowerBI website

Hello, I have several running reports on PowerBI website created in Desktop app. However I have one report where I'm getting an error message: An error occurred while attemping to publish 'LPA.....pbix'. The remote server returned an error : (500) Internal Server Error. The file contains 9 sheets only. What can I do to resolve the publishing issue? Thanks, Zsolt

Hello @v-lili6-msft ,

Thanks for your reply. I read the linked post, doesn't work for me.

I cannot use the Get data or I misunderstand where to find. In the Desktop app I can see this:

Annotation 2019-07-30 100544.jpg

There is no possibility to choose an existing pbix file.

I tried also to save it as a template and re-import and publish -> same server error.

I tried to delete some old report from the web service than publish -> same server error.

My desktop is Version: 2.71.5523.941 64-bit (re-installed right now).

I tried to import directly to the web surface through the 'Get Data'.

This is the detail error message I get:

We couldn't import data from Power BI Desktop File
The last refresh attempt failed because of an internal service error.

hi, @ZsoltV

If you could update the power bi desktop to the lastest version, and what is size of the pbix file?

If you could try to publish the report via Get Data -> Files on Power BI service, check if the publish can be finished successfully.

and here is a similar post, you may refer to it:
