Error contains a duplicate value, only server version.

Hi.
I've created a dashboard using SalesForce data, but during the construction, I notice that the SalesForce use your ID column letter differently than the Power BI understands its duplicate.

Ex.
Reg. ID
1 123ABC
2 123abc

To resolve this, I decided to convert de column ID to binary and create a link using this new field.

On Power BI desktop work perfectly, without any error when the data is refreshed. but using power bi server the error bellow is showing all the time.

Column 'ID convite Binary' in Table 'Pesquisa de Satisfação DVL Enviadas II' contains a duplicate value '<pii>MEtpMVEwMDAwMDBUTnpv</pii>' and this is not allowed for columns on the one side of a many-to-one relationship or for columns that are used as the primary key of a table.

Hi, @Microtécnica

Power BI engine is not case-sensitive (for example, " a" and " A" are treated as the same character)

I found a solution, maybe it works for you.

Try using Unicode zero-width space characters and the M function Character.FromNumber.
The beauty about this approach is that the zero-width space character is invisible and does not take up space.

Hope this helps.

Hi @Microtécnica

This could be, because of the case sensitivity. I would change the Reg. ID to be UPPER CASE, and then remove duplicates in Power Query and see if that resolves your error?
