Error: [Unable to combine data] Sorry there was an error while buffering the data for Section1

Hi,

I am receiving the followng error when trying to refresh my data on dataflow.  This works fine in PBI Desktop and PBI services.  It even validates without errors in dataflow, but when I refresh is when I receive this error.  Full error message below:

Error: [Unable to combine data] Sorry there was an error while buffering the data for Section1/49a9f131-b992-4b33-b1dd-96590d5a9ff0/AzureBlob: [DataSource.Error] AzureBlobs failed to get contents from 'https://wabiweuscdsa.blob.core.windows.net/1083d71f-7ce6-4229-a1b1-5e6ba912dfb8/EESAPMaster.csv'. Status code: 404 description: 'The specified blob does not exist.'... RootActivityId = 03962723-2382-477c-ad20-f994cd4ff115.Param1 = [Unable to combine data] Sorry there was an error while buffering the data for Section1/49a9f131-b992-4b33-b1dd-96590d5a9ff0/AzureBlob: [DataSource.Error] AzureBlobs failed to get contents from 'https://wabiweuscdsa.blob.core.windows.net/1083d71f-7ce6-4229-a1b1-5e6ba912dfb8/EESAPMaster.csv'. Status code: 404 description: 'The specified blob does not exist.'. Request ID: cecffeef-67f0-e54b-c36c-f7b6dd790263.

Also, not sure why it is looking for the 'EESAPMaster.csv' file.  'EESAPMaster is the name of the query, so maybe it is stored as a .csv file?

Thank you!

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I was having the same issue. It appears to be resolved by ticking the option "Allow combining data from multiple sources" in the Project Options within the dataflow editor.

Hi there

It would indicate that from your dataflow it is looking for the underlying CSV output from your query?

Hi Gilbert,

My query doesn't point to the file name.  I did a find just to confirm.  That query happens to have the same name?  Does dataflow somehow store the query as a .csv file?

Regards,

Kevin

I would suggest changing the name of the query and see if that works?

I did that, but got the same error with the different table name.

I would suggest logging a support ticket for them to look into this further.

Hi, I'm experiencing the same issue.

I'm attempting to derive Dimensions, Facts, Junk Dimensions, and join tables from a single Azure table. I'm unclear as to whether my error is the result of a circular reference or if theres an underlying issue with the power bi service.

Has there been a ticket raised?
