Error 2147467259: Access to Path is denied

When trying to refresh via our Gateway, we are running into the below error about a file within a folder path

tolsen37_0-1643133299849.png

To offer background on the issue:

  • The file path is active on the gateway and the user has access to manually refresh the report via Desktop, only when trying to refresh on the Service does it fail
  • The file path has other files that are working fine on the Gateway, just this new file is not working and causing the error

Thank you

Ended up finding that the Gateway service account didn't have access to a specific subfolder which was causing the error.

Hi @Anonymous

If your gateway connection is shown to be successful, then it is recommended that you check the Data source credentials in datasets settings to see if the configuration information is correct .

Hi @Anonymous

Please check the data source in Manage gateways in Service to see if the connection to the data source is successful .If no, modify it to the correct information, then go to the map in the dataset settings .

Hello @v-yetao1-msft,

Thank you for the response.  The gateway connection to this file path is indeed successful, so that wouldn't be the issue.
