We are still getting failures on scheduled and manual refreshes for our on premise data sources. The pbix files are a mix of SSAS and SQL data. Even though the power BI support site says everything is running smoothly.
It is only happening to around 5 or 6 datasets but it is causing us a big headache. Once the scheduled refresh has failed the manual refreshes also start to fail. It normally gets better once we move into the afternoon GMT.
I have sent numerous fiddler traces to support but as yet a root cause hasn't been identified. All the datasets were refreshing fine up to a couple of weeks ago.
Anyone else experiencing this?
It looks like we had to update our gateway app. We hadn't updated since we first set it up in March this year. So far this seems to have resoved the issues. Wil lcheck tomorrow.
Always update your On-Premise(Enterprise) Gateway into latest version. Whenever the On-Premise Gateway get offline, you need to restore your existing Gateway. To troubleshooting On-Premise Gateway, please see: Troubleshooting the On-Premises Data Gateway

Hi Simon,
The updates for desktop are not easy to miss because of reminders each time you use the app.
Is there a place with the announcement details of any new gateway releases or updates?
Thanks
