Hello to all,
We are having a reoccurring issue where end users are saving off custom copies of our published report then publishing them to our app without our consent. So we have our report and then a “bookmarked” style copy with a custom name in the same app. We end up deleting these additional reports and I am unable to recreate this so I can disable this feature for end users. While in the app, if I drop down file and click “save a copy” it saves it to my workspace.
As far as access goes, some of our users have contributor access, while most have viewers access with row level security and the majority do not have a pro license. Without this license, they can’t access the workspace or edit, so I’m confused as to how they are doing this? I did say that the majority don’t have a pro license, so is it possible that the people creating these copies have a license and accessing the workspace?
Looking for your help and expertise!
Thank you

Hi @RyCO35 ,
To copy a report, the person has to have a Pro license. AND, to copy that report based on a dataset into another workspace, the user has to have Build permissions on the dataset.
When you share the report, there are three checkboxes. If you allow the users to the underlying dataset that is kind of giving them free reign (one place to do so).
If these are truly unlicensed people that are you sharing from a Premium capacity? That could be one way that you are giving blanket permissions.
If you are giving contributor access then you are allowing them to create/edit and delete content in the workspace. This also allows them to copy reports.
Here is a URL that shows the permission settings:

I would appreciate Kudos if my response was helpful. I would also appreciate it if you would Mark this As a Solution if it solved the problem. Thanks!
