Good morning,
I want to embed a PowerBi report into a wordpress website but there is one thing I doubt about is how I'm going to do this. Am I going to use the Iframe (public) or embedded version (not plubic).
Since Microsoft decided that you need to pay for the embedded version I prefer the Iframe version (because of the high rates). But the question is: how public is the Iframe version? The information that I'm going to share on this wordpress is for internal use only, It's data from Google Analytics and should not be open for others. If the only ''open'' part is the link in the embedding then it's fine by me. But if ''open'' also means that Microsoft is going to share this link on a webpage then it's no option. Does anybody know how this work? Is Microsoft going to share the report or not?
Many thanks in advance!
Hi @TJacobs,
For details about how it works, you can refer to this document.
But you should be aware that using Publish to web, the report or visual you publish can be viewed by anyone on the Internet. There is no authentication used when viewing these reports.
Best regards,
Yuliana Gu
If you are referring to the "Publish to Web" option, then anyone that gets hold of the link will be able to see the report. I expect that some people take the risk if only they know the link, given the obscurity of the generated urls and depending on the sensitivity of the information.
I doubt that Microsoft are interested in openly publishing links to random user's reports.
