Embed in Tabular Model in Power BI Service is not possible

Guys,

I have SSAS Tabular Model models that i need to publish to Power BI Service FREE.

I can publish normally, however, the option to create embed is not available.

Embed.jpg

I searched and found this limitation on the Microsot website.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-publish-to-web

"Reports using any Live Connection data source, including Tabular Analysis Services hosted on-premises, Multidimensional Analysis Services, and Azure Analysis Services."

So I can't create embed for Tabular Model.

Does anyone know any other way to make these reports available to all external users?

Thanks

_Keny

Hi @kenymaciel ,

As you said, the way of publish to web has limitations for using live connection data source.

So my suggestion is to share with external users in the following three ways, first, you need to enable the option "Allow sharing with external users" in the admin portal

1.The content is allocated to Power BI Premium capacity
2.Share with an external user that has a Power BI Pro license
3.Invite an external user and assign them a Power BI Pro license

Hi @kenymaciel

You would need to do this where each user has a pro license to view the reports.

Or you could use Power BI Premium Capacity and let the users use a free Power BI licence.

The final option is to use Power BI Embedded into your application and use it in that way.
