Hi
I am trying to develop a web app that shows the users pre-defined PowerBI reports WITHOUT allowing them to engage the filters. For instance I want the user to search for a piece of information, and the results to be shown using the Power BI reporting format without giving that user access to the whole database. I can't seem to find a way of doing this without opening the whole dataset to the end user.
Similarly, I would like to publish some aggregated reporting content on the home page, effectively as a dynamic image (that updates when the home page is opened based on a report query). I can't see how I can do this.
Any ideas would be appreciated, I can imagine this is a fairly common use case and without it it seems a little bit limited in its applications?
Hi, @philclark
As far as I’m concerned, the end-users can’t engage the filters if they opened the report from the embed link of the “Published to the web” function.
