Dynamically pass parameter to published Power BI dataset

I have imported HANA calculation views in Power BI desktop as my datasource. The HANA view has an inbuilt parameter. I have created parameters in Power BI desktop and given an initial (default) value. This model is then published to app.power. I have then created a report in Power BI report builder (SSRS) using this dataset. Now my question is how can I change the parameter value from report builder (once my pbix file is published I do not see an option to change the parameters from report builder)

Please help.

Hi @Anonymous,

You can refer to the following document to know more about how to use parameters with power bi report service reports:

Report parameters in Power BI Report Builder

This solution is like asking for apples and getting oranges. Please read the problem carefully. I need to filter my published data set which is being data from parametrised HANA query. So at runtime I need to filter my source. Don't give me useless links, don't you think we have not gone through the documents on parameters???

Have you found a solution? I am stuck with a similr issue. I have a REST API, and need to call it with different runtime values to create a dataset.

I have modified the source M query with parameters, but cant pass new values in the URL to update the API.
