Downloaded copy of .pbix from Service does not open in PowerBI desktop

Hello, 

I've downloaded the .pbix copy via File --> Download Report option from the PowerBI service. When I try to open the downloaded file, I get the following message:

I have the latest version of the PowerBI installed but still can't open the file. Please help to trouble shoot this issue further.

Can you verfiy which version of Power BI Desktop you have installed?

I have 2.69.5467.1751 version installed. Here is the screenshot from Programs & Features:

wierd. I downloaded a new copy of the file from the PBI service a while back and can open the file in PowerBI desktop
