Does a Dataflow require an on-prem gateway when connecting to an Azure DB?

We have recently moved our DB to Azure and I am now testing the creation of Power BI Dataflows to the new DB.

Do connections directly to an Azure DB need to go via a gateway or should Power BI be able to go direct seeing as they are both in the cloud?

Thanks

Hi. Your guess is right. When you have an Azure DB you don't need a gateway. You can connect directly without a gateway with dataflows and with power bi service (in case you were using power bi desktop).
