Does RLS restrict Export Underlying data

Hi,

Does RLS restrict Export Underlying data? If Row level security is applied and user (with viewer access) logs in to Power BI service and export "Underlying data", does RLS gets applied?

RLS will be applied!

Assuming a user has only access to the 2 German cities Hamburg and Munich, and exports data of a bar chart that depicts Germany, only the unerlying data of Hamburg and Munich will be exported (my 2nd assumption, the relationship between country and city are exists in the model)

Thanks Tom, just to clarify, RLS works for "Underlying data" also? For Summarized data option, we know it's work.

Hey @Anonymous ,

RLS does not restrict Report feature like export data.

If you do not want underlying data to be exported, then you have to use the report settings:

You have to be aware that this is NOT a security feature.
