I created a mail enable security group which needs to be managed in O365, I can see myself as a member of the group(mail enabled).
I tried to test whether Power BI service sends me email notification with Direct link when I share Power BI app with the group or not like how it sends for the individual mail users.
I also removed my individual mail, removed myself from the member of the workspace and retried adding the mail enabled group to app access.
But it doesn't work, it doesn't sends any mail notification that an app has been shared! 😞
Is there anything I am missing here ??

I noticed that my exchange is not getting synced with these guest accounts members. This might be the reason!
Hey there, I don't think there is an email you get when an App is shared with you. Only individual reports will send along the "**** shared a Power BI report with you" message with link. The App experience is either auto-pushed or retrieved via the "Get App" experience. If you want to automate an email have you thought about using Power Automate?

No, this is not what I am looking for.
I am expecting a mail to be sent to mail enabled security group members when a Power BI app has been shared with direct link.
When I add my mail address I recieve mail from Microsoft Power BI, but when adding a mail enabled Security group why does the group members doesn't get the same mail?
