I have a string manuipulation query which uses a bitwise operator to select and group by any combination of 7 database fields which yeilds 127 possible output combinations - the number of columns selected by the query is, as a result, variable.
I need to tell PowerBi to display all coulmns that a query holds without giving it a definitive list of those fields. Essentially I need to say "Display *".
Does anyone know of any way to do that within PowerBi or am I trying to push beyond what PowerBi can do here?
The ultimate goal is to supply non technical users some watered down version of self service without expecting them to be able to grasp and operate the reports workspaces online. I have the added wrinkle of trying to create interactable parameters at run time online which Microsoft don't think we need but that only matters if I can beat this issue.
Thanks in advance
So, is this with a Live (Direct Query) source or Import?
Whichever works!
