Disable change of a dataset or download pbi file

Guys, can i ask you something?
Is there any way of preventing anyone to change anything in our dataset once it's saved in a server of a company? Also, preventing from dowloading our pbi file?
I want to work in my clients server, with their pbi desktop, but i don't anyone to change my pbi file or to change anything in my dataset once i publish it.

Any help?

Thanks a lot everyone

Pedro

Hi @pedroccamaraDBI ,

yes as @aj1973  mentioned you can manage the permission over the workspaces: https://radacad.com/best-practice-for-power-bi-workspace-roles-setup

I would give the end users always viewer rights which allow them to view the report and do nothing more.

Best,

Kathrin

Listing all the possibilities:

You want the users to be able to view the report? If not, you could just publish it to your personal workspace.

If you are talking about the reports published to workspaces, giving viewer role should do it.

If there are users with Contributor/Member/Admin roles and you don't want them to modify your report or download it, then there is no possible way.

If you are talking about sharing the reports with users, you could publish it as an app and give them viewer access to the app.

Correct me if my understanding is wrong and provide exact scenario so that we can look for all possibilities to provide the best .

Hi @pedroccamaraDBI

You will need to be the owner of the Dataset and then limit access to users through Workspace settings
