Hi,
I have a problem. I had a report which pulls data directly from WebApi(no on-premise db) and it is able to refresh directly from powerbi service - i can schedule it etc. No problem there.
Problem arise when i added historical data from csv + new data as in previous report from webApi.
Even when i disabled csv source from "include in report refresh" it still displays message
"You don't have any gateway installed or configured for the data sources in this dataset. Please install a new data gateway, or configure the data source for an existing data gateway."
Is there any solution for that? Can i bake in csv into powerbi file and still be able to refresh it directly from service?
Thanks in advance
Karol

Thanks for reply.
Although i was trying to eliminate gateway as i don't have resources for that.
I managed to put csv on onedrive + Api request directly from powerbi and I can confirm that it works with auto refresh from powerbi service:)
Problem solved!
Hi @atomek1000,
For on-premises datasource or mixed(on-premise/online datasource) report, you need to a gateway to manage refresh operation.
Please refer to below links to install data gateway for handling these operations.
Reference links:
On-premises data gateway (personal mode)
BTW, online datasource not need gateway.
