Direct Query not up to date when opening report in Power Bi Service

 Hey,

I have a report published in Power BI service that uses direct query, as near real-time information are needed in this case.

The source is a database from Azure Data Explorer.

When I open the report the information visible are not uptodate but I first have to click on refresh. Is there a way, to always refresh when the report is accessed?

Or change settings of the direct query so that automatically always the current data is visible without needing refresh?

Greetings

Katharina

Hi. If you have the report openned all the time you have to click on refresh or program a page refresh. Direct query works but browser won't change untill you refresh it. This won't be a problem if you open the browser for the first time.

Anyway you can configure a page refresh in order to have all in order. Check this doc about it:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/desktop-automatic-page-refresh

NOTE: it only work with direct query. Just to keep in mind in case you want to use it again.
