Good afternoon everybody,
I am having problems while updating my data model in the Power BI service: My model is a combined one: some tables use Import, one very large table uses Direct Query (both of them come from a single data base), and one excel file uses import. I am using both types of connections because the model exceeded the 1 Gb limitation using only the import connection.
The data Gateway says it has a correct configuration (3 different connections). When I update in the Power BI Service, it seems it does it correctly (no error messages...) When I update the excel file, it is working, so the gateway is working. But (in the Power BI Service) when I go to a page that uses direct Query, the data has not upgraded, and in the upper part of the page there it goes a message that says: "This Report could not connect to the data origin".
Does anybody know what is happening? I assume that 2 different connections can be done (import and direct query) agaisnt the same data base, isn`t it?
Thanks a lot. Best regards,
Chema Ortega
1. Is that Direct Query table have more than 1 million records?
If yes, please refer the below links.
