1.Can we use built in Impala connector to connect to Impala hosted on AWS
2.Does it support direct query on AWS?
3.Does it require a gateway?
4.If Import method is supported ,does it support automatic refresh?
Its urgently required for deciding on solution that includes selection of the BI tool

#1. I don't think you can direct use AWS built-in connector to get data, maybe you can try to use power bi Amazon Redshift connector to get data.
#2. Yes, Amazon Redshift connector supports both 'import' and 'direct query' mode.
#3. You need to enable schedule refresh on your data source.
