Hi
I have created a report and it is a direct query report. It was working fine until yesterday when I re-uploaded it after making a few changes. Now one of my tables which has 18,000 rows, which worked before, is saying the query result is too large. I have another report also direct query and it has 31,000 rows and it works fine too.
I can;t understand why this has suddenly stopped working.
If anyone has any ideas, it would be very helpful
Thanks
Victoria
Did this ever actually get resolved? I'm experiencing the same issue. I have 186,000 rows which is more than OP but significantly less than the cap according to microsoft. No measures or calculated columns. It is 3 tables that essentially drill down for each other.
Hi @Anonymous,
Did you create some complex measures? And what operations did you do? As for a table with only 18000 rows should not be the problem. There is a 1 million row limit for returning data when using DirectQuery.
Power BI creates queries that are as efficient as possible. Under certain situations however, the generated query may not be efficient enough to avoid refresh that would fail.

Frank
