Hi there,
I have a pro account on Power BI service and want to migrate my desktop reports, calculated columns and calculations to the cloud service.
All of my data is in sql databases stored locally.
I require daily refreshes.
What are some good resources to follow for migrating to the cloud?

I might urge caution about loading a data gateway onto a computer. You will definately want it on a server, or something that operates 24/7. If you are trying to automate daily refreshes, putting it on a computer rather than a server will likely cause you more frustration.
Servers also have the advantage of more grunt, to process the mashup engine. Its also possible they have more data bandwidth to handle any growing needs to handle refresh requests of additional datasets as you grow your reporting solutions.
I can agree with that when your database is not on your drive or you are able to connect to it externally, then you can use Gateway on a server, otherwise when database only locally on your PC - no.
Yeah if you have the data only on a computer, then you are a little stuck. Wherever possible, avoid having the data source on a computer. Get it onto a server, a database, or a cloud provider.
