Date field changes after publishing a report into Power BI Service

I'm wondering if someone experienced this.

1. In Power BI Desktop, a table visual shows transaction id "123456" and its Date1 field:

Transaction ID    Date1

123456

In other words, Date1 value is blank

2. In the Query Editor, same value is shown as:

1/1/0001 12:00:00 AM

3. In the data source (CRM system), same value is stored as

0000-00-00 00:00:00

4. When published to the Power Bi Service, same value is shown as:

12/30/1899 - this behavior throws off my calculations

I need to keep the field as date data type simply because I'm doing datediff calculations. My goal is to keep it to blank just like Power BI Desktop shows(1.)

Any suggestions?

@Anonymous - That's a bit odd. Yes, DAX date starts at midnight, December 30th, 1899. So that is 0.00 in time terms. But that's odd that BLANK would return that. You could check the Issues forum here:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues

And if it is not there, then you could post it.
