Date changed after publishing on power bi service

Hi all,

I am working on a report, when I published it on power bi service,it changed the date in a column.

In Power Bi Deskstop:Promised Receipt Date is between 2020-2021But in service,It shows in 1899.

In Power BI service:

Hi @Anonymous

The reason for this is because it defaults to the first known date for Power BI which is what you detailed above.

In order to resolve this I would fix this in Power Query and default the blank dates to a date that you would want to see?

Can we just get the blank rows as blank? If I dont have date in any row,I would just want to show it as it without setting any default date.

Hi @Anonymous

yes you can as long as the data being supplied from your source is blank. If it has some other date, you can do a replace option in Power Query and replace the value with blank or ""

Data being supplied is blank but it shows that random date in the published report, what should I replace it with in power query?because even for replacement we need to give some date

Hi @Anonymous

It could be because your column has the data type of Date.

I would ask the business what date they would like it defaulted to?
